How to add/remove posts from the Category Highlights Slider

1. Go to Dashboard->Posts->All Posts (or Add New)
2. Select your post for editing (if not adding new post)
3. Add the relevant cateogry highlights tag (eg, Arts and Culture Highlights — just type Arts and the relevant tag should pop up in the drop-down: always use the tag from the drop-down… try to avoid typos by typing it in manually)
4. Hit Publish, DONE.
5. To remove a post from the Slider : just delete the tag (eg Arts and Culture Highlights) from the list of tags associated with the post.

NOTE: The process for adding posts to the HOMEPAGE HIGHLIGHTS SLIDER is the same, just add or remove the tag “Hightlights” and it will appear.

How to add a photo gallery / photo gallery post

1. Go to Dashboard->Gallery->Add Gallery/Images  …
2. ADD GALLERY: Enter the name of your new gallery, Click Add Gallery
3. ADD IMAGE: Click “Choose File” , select your image, select the gallery from the drop down list and click “Upload Images”. Repeat this process for each image
   NOTE: Unfortunately, due to a bug, the FLASH Uploader is not working, so if you’re having problems, be sure to click the button “Disable Flash based upload”. This is why we have to upload images one at a time. I am sorry for this… the bug will eventually be located and flash-based multi-file upload will be back. This only effects the photo galleries upload, not the normal wordpress media uploaded. Sorry again.
4. ADD CAPTIONS: click Dashboard->Gallery->Manage Gallery-> [name-of-your-gallery] … Add captions. (usually autopopulated with image filename). Click “Save Changes”)
5. ADD GALLERY TO POST: Add or Edit a post as normal… Click the Gallery Icon (far-right on the text-editor window), select your gallery from the drop-down list. Ignore the radio-buttons (it must be Image List) . Click “Insert “
6. Add a tag to your page: Photo Galleries (this is important, as it tells the system to remove the secondary sidebar, so as to allow the full width of the gallery)
7. Save page: DONE.

How to add a soundcloud stream to a post

1. Go to soundcloud, find the tune you wish to embed, click “Share”
2. Click the “WordPress” button, copy the shortcode (soundcloud=url etc)
3. Go to TD WordPress.. Dashboard->Posts->Add New
4. Paste the shortcode into the text editor.
5. Categorise your post under “MP3s/Streaming Audio
6. Add a featured image if desired.
7. Save page: DONE.

How to add a youtube video to a post

1. Go to youtube, find your video and copy the URL in the address bar.
2. Go to TD WordPress.. Dashboard->Posts->Add New
3. Paste the youtube URL into the text editor.
4. Unlink the URL using the “unlink” icon (broken chain)
5. Categorise your post.
6. Add tag Video (important coz secondary sidebar needs to be removed for widescreen video display)
7. Add a featured image if desired.
8. Save page: DONE.

NOTE: The process for adding a soundcloud Playlist is the same as above.
