Do the Last Sound count as veterans now? Any band that survived the Dublin underground with the same identity for this long surely does. This 7″/digital single is like much indie music these days straddling the divide between electronic textures and more traditional band shapes -No bad thing considering that that divide is after all entirely theoretical. Hints of shoegaze staples MBV and even maybe a little Beach House in here, though the vocals are hidden in layers of delay and reverb soakage, draining them of a little personality but also bedding them into the textures of tune otherwise.
