Still dropping innumerable mixtapes per year, Lil B finally held good on his promise to continue the series that the Romulus and Remus of swag rap, Red Flame and Blue Flame, came from. It’s not, in immediate sonic terms, actually related to its siblings in anything more than name, sticking to the more relaxed rap style fully formed on Im Gay, though with less new age positivity. It’s still not clear if any B tapes have a point, but this one definitely doesn’t feel necessary.
