Using pop’s unerring reliance on things happening over four bars, Girl Talk’s party-piece mash-up music will satisfy those itching to hear Mr. Blue Sky over a thick hip-hop beat or Lil’ Jon rapping over a queer combo of Cecilia and Sunday Bloody Sunday. It’s a worry that the most satisfying element of this record is nerdy song-recognition but on the other hand, while Gregg Gillis may be a one trick pony, at least it’s deadly trick.
