Cut Copy – Zonoscope

Posted March 1, 2011 in Music Reviews

In the accompanying ‘Making Of…’ documentary, Cut Copy leaf through a hearty vinyl collection, poring over a bevvy of 80’s 12 inches and it’s instructive, because Zonoscope has the tendency to give off the vibe of their influences as much as the band itself. Though perhaps lacking a really charismatic singer which would set the band’s identity apart, Zonoscope is ultimately still a classy synth-pop collection though a few songs could use a bit of pruning.
