One of the 21st centuries’ oddities – a genuine rock ‘n’ roll band – Black Rebel Motorcycle Club return with their hard-to-believe 8th album.
Titled Wrong Creatures, it sees San Francisco’s favourite leather-clad sons try on a number of hats across its 12 tracks.
Haunt clearly channels Nick Cave, while Ninth Configuration has a surprisingly strong Oasis whiff emanating from within.
Peter Hayes may still sound as cool as he did on their 2001 debut, but this latest effort is too much lacking in originality.
