Watching Charli XCX come good is not unlike your little sister coming home with more points on her Leaving Cert than she expected: you’re rooting for her, even if she is still a headwrecker most of the time. Boom Clap and Break The Rules have earned their ubiquity by their sheer brio. This collection is a continuation of her Cyndi Lauperish vigour, pleasing in its limitations. Sucker is a Glamour Magazine of an album – a jolly, disposable dose of girliness that the boys can have a cheeky flick through too.
