After a technical mishap put paid to his anticipated first Irish appearance back in May, Kwes is finally back to take Dublin by characteristically quiet storm.
The Warp-signed pop maverick has created quite the buzz for himself with his skewed take on warm electronica, seamlessly blending multiple strands of pop history into something that sounds completely new. Never brash or attention-grabbing, Kwes takes his soul seriously and the complex but smooth results are ointment for the ears. Kwes and his band play the Button Factory this Saturday as part of Hidden Agenda’s residency there, with support coming from local wunderbro Lemonada, and we’ve got ourselves two pairs of tickets to give away.
