The Choice Music Awards is an annual celebration of the best Irish albums. We delve a little deeper to discover the story behind the album artwork chosen by some of the contenders and its relationship to the music in question.
Katie Kim’s fourth album Salt saw her collaborate with photographer Terry Magson on the artwork.
“Terry Magson is an extremely fine musician and extremely fine photographer. I’m simply a huge fan of Terry’s photography and I spotted this picture he had taken and I just instantly knew it was the cover. It probably struck me due to the space in the photograph he took. I think it’s really beautiful and a moment that wasn’t staged…so it just stuck out to me.”
