Formed in 2007, Ruby Apples, quickly developed a repertoire of original music and live performances. The band consists of pianist/vocalist/composer Jane Deasy and drummer Dan Walsh. Following a stint of successful live performances, Ruby Apples recorded their debut EP “Boots and Lipstick” during the summer of 2008.

The duo was met with unexpected demand after the release of their first EP – quickly selling out of the first 200 copies. “Boots and Lipstick” compiled the “upbeat vaudevillian showtunes with a rocksteady beat” sound for which the Irish band is known for. The EP also included a unique hand-made cover made by the band themselves.

Ruby Apples has continued to play gigs throughout Cork and Dublin and hope to record their first album later in 2012.  A live gig featuring some material from their upcoming album will be held at the Workman’s Club on Friday July 13th as part of the 10 Days in Dublin Festival.
