Shed

Rene Pawlowitz is a serious talent. His taken name might be almost obscene in its inconspicuousness but the man known as Shed is anything but a shrinking violet when it comes to music. His début album, Shedding The Past, was honoured with top spot in Resident Advisor’s 2008 albums of the year list and his newest emission, The Killer, has garnered no end of praise from critics and club goers around the world. While his productions often vary wildly in tone and style, his DJ sets are assured blasts of techno fire from start to finish.

This Saturday sees his first visit to Dublin in a little over a year so you can expect a Pepper basement heaving with people eager to hear his old-school approach played out. Shed does hardcore for the masses, not taking anything too seriously, but still able to pummel ears and bodies when the need arises.
