Killer triple bill this week from those buckos at Junior Spesh. Headlining is Skreamizm, featuring Skream himself leading a three-hour charge into the unknown. The dubstep legend is apparently on a quest to make the audience one with the music, leaving the flashing lights and extravagant stage shows behind for a while as he explores the furthest reaches of his ever-developing taste in a room with a huge sound-system. Sounds great.
He’ll be joined on the night by Sgt. Pokes, otherwise known as the voice of Digital Mystikz, a legendary MC and shaman of the bass.
Last, but certainly not least, is Redinho, one of the key players in Glasgow’s NMBRS crew. Continually turning out some of the most vital club nights in the western world, NMBRS have made a name for themselves that travels well beyond Hadrian’s Wall and Redinho is a DJ central to that. Channelling funk, disco, hip-hop, house and garage (and aquacrunk, obviously), Redinho mashes his tastes together with the skill of a master, keeping the focus firmly on moving feet and a heaving floor.
