Don’t Look Back

Saturday 15 March | IFI | €10, 4pm

D.A. Pennebakker’s seminal rockumentary Don’t Look Back pretty much invented the genre. It takes in Bob Dylan’s 1965 tour of England and, frankly, it’s all gold. If you haven’t watched it, seek it out.

The Big Upcycle Market

Saturday 15 March | The MART, Rathmines | 11am-6pm

“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure” – It may be one of the biggest cliché phrases of all time but hey, it’s true! Whether it’s an old dress that just don’t fit like it used to or an antique cabinet that doesn’t quite go with that whole industrial vibe thing your currently going for in your kitchen, there will always be someone willing to take your unwanted stuff off hands and transform it into something new – all it takes is a bit of imagination and maybe a splash of paint or a stitch or two. So why not pop your head into The Big Upcycle Pop Up Market at The Mart in Rathmines (the old fire station) this Saturday where some of Ireland’s best Upcyclers will be selling renewed treasures of all kinds, you might pick up some unique bits and bobs or maybe you’ll  think twice before throwing that rusty teapot away ’cause “sometimes you just don’t know what you’ve got til its gone….”

Check out theupcyclemovement.com for more info and make sure to keep an eye out for more events happening at The MART over on their website.

Expect a furious blend of techno and house interspersed with classic soul and jazz samples and tunes from Moodymann’s self-titled album on Mahogani which dropped earlier this year.
