This weekend is full of crazy Bank Holiday Sunday raves, it really is a case of take your pick and prepare a soft landing for Monday.

Thursday 1 May | The Copper House, Synge Street | 6pm, Free

In support of marriage equality, No Fixed Abode are running an exhibition of prints from Irish and international creative heads including stenciller ADW, Danleo, Denise Nestor, photographer Katie May of Mother London, Pony Studios and Villalba Lawson. The exhibition itself will be produced by Panti and Mother DJs will be providing the soundtrack to the evening. Prints cost €30 each, full details here

A new temporary project by Jim Ricks and curated and invigilated by Saoirse Wall and Eimear Walshe in a 2x3x.67m space at their home. If you’re up this early and up and into radio, bring your own wireless along and investigate the “latent sexism of Irish radio” at this once-off exhibition/happening. I mean, why not? Everyone knows that we like a Scandinavian pop chanteuse ever since we stuck Annie on the cover of Totally Dublin #1 nearly 10 years ago and MØ is no different. After a successful support slot for AlunaGeorge, MØ is back for her own show in the Academy with support on the night coming from similarly capitalised local electronicists, TVVINS.

Giro Expo: Vintage Italian & Irish Bikes Exhibition

Sunday 4 May | Wallace’s Taverna, 24 Ormond Quay | 12-5pm, Free

Ahead of the Giro d’Italia’s arrival in Dublin next weekend, Giro d’Italia del Gusto are staging an exhibition in Wallace Taverna’s on Ormond Quay of all the best and most retro-kitsch Olmos, Masis, Colnagos, Gordons, Pinarellos, Wodelos, Gianni Mottas, Bianchis and Mercians that you can shake a stick at to get you in the mood for the Giro-mania. Full details here.

HSSH & The Beatyard: Tim Sweeney (Beats In Space)

One of the most influential DJs in the world via his Beats In Space show based in New York City, Tim Sweeney visits the Shaw as part of the 12 Sundays series to play a set with support from Joma and Grosstadlichter and yes, it’s free! Crazy P, Billy Scurry & This Greedy Pig DJs

Y’all know from the afterparty we threw after the IMMA shindig that we’re big fans of the newly jazzed up Hub on Eustace Street. This Sunday sees probably the biggest gig it has hosted yet with a Bank Holiday banger from veteran UK dance gurus Crazy P as well as sets from the inimitable Billy Scurry and the This Greedy Pig DJs. Full details here

Forza Giro

All the oodling of Italian wheels should have you in the mood for some sleek Italo-disco shucking and jiving. Forza Giro features a set from Helena Hauff and a live set from Antoni Maiovvi (check the youtubes below) as well as the usual array of DJ sets from Gib (Elastic Witch), Simon Conway (Forza Italo), Carlito Aquilani et al in the two top floors of Odessa.
