“Owning property, of the scale we all dreamed of when young, or at all, isn’t a reality for a lot of people. but the longing and appreciation doesn’t go away,” says the foreword to From where the heart is, a self-published photo book with short stories and observations by Bryan Hogan, Alia Harryson Lorgan, Sierra Grace, Edel Brady and Alex Sinclair along with design by Anne Moloney.
It’s a ‘stop, pause, think’ about the predicament we are in and what future familiarity about our residential dwellings may look like.
Its purpose is to “create a longing mood and lens to look at living space through which is appropriate for a lot of the modern generation in Ireland who are priced out of what they once thought would be their normal living conditions,” explains Hogan.
