We were delighted to see one of the most historic areas of the city arise and take its place among the greats recently, as Dublin 8 was ranked No.15 in the Time Out index featuring 49 of the coolest neighbourhoods in the world.
The magazine’s local correspondent cited tours at the Pearse Lyons Distillery, pints a dog friendly boozer MVP and rotating exhibitions at Lucky’s as just some of the reasons behind the area’s inclusion in the influential list, with an honourable mention for green spaces at The Phoenix Park and the Memorial Gardens.
Interestingly the list’s top spot was taken by Nørrebro in Copenhagen, the city which scored another big first recently as blow-out restaurant Noma successfully retained its place at the pinnacle of the world’s top fifty restaurants.
