We remember Grown when they were a mere stitch in time sharing an office space with us in South Studios (a creative space which disgracefully been dormant for over six years since its sale). Since then, they’ve flourished into the full pattern with their smart designs and eco-savvy credentials.
“Wear Less, Buy Better” is their new campaign, shot by Al Higgins in Killyon Manor, which switches the focus back to nature.
“Every year, in Ireland we purchase/consume 120 million garments, that’s roughly 28kg per person. Only 12 million of that 120 million are reused/resold, the rest is sent overseas to landfills,” says co-founder Stephen O’Reilly.
In tune with the times, their focus remains firmly on ethical, sustainable considerations and organic fabrics which are hard-wearing, breathable and renewable.
They initiated Grown Forest also, which commits replenishing, rewilding and regenerating through proceeds from sales.
