Come 26th September, a coterie of Dublin design talents will descend upon Longford’s Main Street for several days of sartorial celebration.
The inaugural Fabiani Design Week – concocted by the eponymous boutique’s forward-thinking founder, Louise Brennan – is on track to place emerging Irish designers on a gilded pedestal.
Opening with their “Interview with Designers” night, the featured designers in question – including Jill & Gill, Pearl Reddington and Four Threads – will trace their throughly distinctive origin stories, whilst attendees willingly lose themselves in a sea of collections and cocktails.
Connecting city-dwelling designers with country-residing consumers is, surprisingly, an unprecedented concept on Irish shores, yet one with boundless potential if placed in the right hands.
Considering Fabiani’s signature flair, this design-centric week has all the makings of a legacy affair.
