“More movement, more collaboration.” – Cian Ryan, creative at The Tenth Man talks to us about his highlights of 2018, hopes for the year ahead and his design heroes.

Your creative highlight of 2018?

Seeing Justice at Forbidden Fruit surrounded by my designs on the stage was pretty nuts!

Your personal creative goal for 2019?

Try new things and become less precious. Take more time, sit down less. More movement, more collaboration.

You get to redesign or reimagine Dublin in one way, what would you do?

I would love to see better transport infrastructure, Trains everywhere. I have been obsessed with bus routes and connections since I was old enough to get on one. I can see it now….”from Blanch to Bray in less than a day.” They would be colourful, everywhere and on time.

How would you describe the Dublin of your dreams, in 18 words or less?

Bright, Talkative, Rough around the edges, Like you never left, Colloquial, A very long daydream, Open for debate.

Three of your local creative heroes, people who people need to know about.

Robert Mirolo, one of my favourite illustrators, a long time collaborator and overall good guy.

Algorithm as a company marry technology and creatively amazingly.

Cian McKenna, Visited his studio recently and it really inspired me to get into 3d work, his stuff is mind blowing!
