Forward Festival: Stefan Sagmeister (new talk), Erik Kessels, Ines Alpha and many more…

Posted March 3, 2021 in Arts and Culture, Design, Photography

It’s around this time of the year that we’d normally be salivating at the thought of getting inspired and meeting pals at Offset. Unfortunately, the pandemic has put this much beloved event on hiatus for the time being. For those of you pining for a creative fix, may we politely propose Forward Festival in Munich which is concerned with “the transformation of society through digitization in the creative scene.” as applied to design, creativity and communication.

It features some Offset stalwarts such as Stefan Sagmeister, the Austrian graphic designer, storyteller and typographers who is a bit of a superstar in these circles. He’s back with a brand new talk. Also on the bill is Erik Kessels, the Dutch creative director of KesselsKramer advertising agency, who is well renowned for his witty takes and executions on the client’s brief. Digital artist and  3D makeup creator Ines Alpha will explore her “enchanted and fantastic versions of reality” while acclaimed British photographer Martin Parr should need no introductions. Esra Gülmen is the Turkish born head of design at Heimat in Berlin. And maybe you’ll even be tempted to swop that creamy Guinness in The Ferryman for a virtual after party hosted by Serious Business.

The program also features interactive workshops and networking opportunities for ticket holders. All the talks from the Livestream can also be (re-watched via Video on Demand.

You can also avail of a 35% discount off the ticket price which start at €91.87 (including booking fee) by using FORWARD-35 as a discount code.

Friday March 12 & Saturday March 13.
