These are the words which have lodged in the memory of Cavan architect Damien Murtagh, the founder and CEO of Arckit, the creative kits which have been hailed for their accessible introduction to design for children.
His work was lauded, with such effusive praise at the Nuremberg Toyfair in 2013, whilst then bringing his prototypes around the houses.
Eight years later and one of his products Arckit 100 has been nominated by the US Toy Association for ‘Construction Toy of The Year (TOTY) 2022.
Dubbed the ‘Oscars’ of the toy world, the winners will be announced in New York in February.
