Following sold-out performances in The O’Reilly Theatre, the Helix and St. Pats in Drumcondra, Big Shot have confirmed a show in Dublin’s Sugar Club on May 14th due to phenomenal public demand.
Big Shot, an original musical written by Malahide native Lauryn Gaffney, tells the story of one Jeremy Crocker, a savvy defense lawyer thriving in New York City’s bustling legal profession. Despite his ambitions Crocker falls in love with Carrie, a struggling Irish artist who works in Crocker’s go-to café in Downtown Manhattan. Although the two become ever more infatuated by each other, the romance threatens to derail Crocker’s career-with particular regard to a dubious new defense case he has taken on.
Having recently been accepted for the San Diego Fringe, there’s plenty of intrigue surrounding Big Shot, and prodigious creator Lauryn Gaffney.
