Americans Anonymous - Barry Delaney and John O'Donnell

Yet another great book from Hi Tone, one of our favourite publishers in town, Americans Anonymous is the work of photographer Barry Delaney, accompanied by the poems of John O’Donnell.

We’ve featured Delaney’s brilliant Stars and Souls of the Liffey project in these pages and at a Totally Dublin Live event (which we will be bringing back in ’22).

Now he’s switched his gaze to America, taking to the road to keenly observe a nation and its fault lines.

Recording the lives of “ordinary people at an extraordinary time”, Delaney frames bigger questions about race, class and identity through the shutter of his lens.
