Honestly, it’s proven hard to keep up with the explosion of gin brands over then last while. Hence we’re only coming round to Silks from Boann Distillery.
Inspired by the colourful silks worn by the jockeys at Bellewstown racecourse which can be seen from the distillery, Silks is hand distilled in small batches.
Signature botanicals are hand foraged from family apple orchards; apple blossom from the trees, honey from their bees and elderflower and hawthorn blossom from their hedgerows.
The lovely labelling sees a graphic motif of scarves depicting the botanicals whilst forming a pattern reminiscent of a jockey’s silks.
