When we spoke to Chris Chapman eighteen months ago, he was just a few short months into new venture Weekl.ie, an innovative home delivery service putting producers, growers and farmers directly in contact with customers in their homes. Even at that early stage he knew that he was only at the start of things, and just before Christmas he announced that he had finally sorted a bricks and mortar base for the business at Greenmount Industrial Estate near Harold’s Cross.

The newly launched Warehouse Food Market carries an extensive selection of local and European produce, including delicious antipasti, free-range meats, fine beverages and organic ingredients, as well as environmentally friendly, sustainable products for housekeeping and cleaning.

The lovely selection of quality Irish brands on offer includes products from Gubbeen Farmhouse, McLoughlin’s Butchers, Toons Bridge Dairy, Sustainable Seafood Ireland (SSI), Rosa Madre, Tartine Bakery, Ballymakenny Farm and Lilliput Stores. Visitors can also avail of a seasonal selection of handmade sandwiches and soups from a take-away lunch counter, and specialty coffee by Cloud Picker.

As well as serving as a standalone food market, Chapman intends that the new space will also be a hub for ongoing partnerships with food producers, brands and culinary friends, in addition to offering visitors a chance to learn and experience the best foods from Ireland and around the world.

The space also includes a large demo and workshop kitchen with a full schedule of events featuring expert chefs and demonstrators currently in planning.
