As Tayto reaches a snack-tastic roundy birthday, the iconic Irish brand is pulling out all the stops for celebrations to mark the anniversary of the day it was founded by Joe ‘Spud’ Murphy back in 1954.

Commemorative plans include special limited edition Tayto-70 packaging and a retro new offering, with a collectible seventieth anniversary stamp collaboration with An Post also in the works.

The brand recently released a fiery new limited edition crisp which combines the unmistakable hot and spicy flavour of the Mighty Munch snack with the texture of Tayto’s original Irish crisp.

Meanwhile Bray-based snack fans can look forward to a Tayto-style ‘Reeling in the Years’ fiesta as an interactive Roadshow rolls into the seaside town over three consecutive weekends from July 21st to August 5th. Expect lots of memorabilia and a series of fun-packed games and activities catering for all ages.
