Special Beer and Food Matching Experience This St Patrick’s Day at Urban Brewing

This weekend Stack A Restaurant at Urban Brewing in the heart of the Dublin Docklands celebrates St Patrick’s Day  with a special St Patrick’s Day Food and Beer Pairing Tasting Menu.  Urban Brewing are also offering Free Brewery Tours on Saturday and Sunday, where you can learn about brewing techniques, recipes, flavour combinations and how to create the perfect match of beer and food.

The special four-course menu created by Head chef Dan Keane celebrates fantastic seasonal Irish ingredients, and is available on Saturday and Sunday March 16th and 17th.

As an added bonus each course has been carefully paired with an exclusive beer which has been brewed in-house and perfectly enhances the flavour of the dish as well as highlighting the special characteristics of each beer.

The tasting menu begins with a flavoursome Stout and Irish Beef Consommé with Homemade Brown Bread and Smoked Bone Matter Butter, paired with a Hallertau Blanc Kölsch.

This is followed by Cured Fillet of Sea Trout with a Trio of Beetroot, Blood Orange, Watercress paired with a Belgian Wit, and then a Duo of Irish Beef, 14 Hour Brewed Daub and Charred Rump, Smoked Potato, Forest Mushrooms, Baby Spinach, Braising Jus which is paired with a Whiskey Barrel Red.

Round off this delicious taster menu with an indulgent Dark Chocolate Delice with Fig, Orange, Star Anise, Valrhona Chocolate Gelato which is paired with a Porter.

The cost of the four course St Patrick’s Day Tasting Menu is €44 per person, with an additional cost of €15 for beer pairings. (Beers are subject to availability).

The St Patrick’s Day Tasting Menu is available in Stack A Restaurant at Urban Brewing from 5:00pm on the 16th and 17th of March and bookings can be made via email to welcome@UrbanBrewing.ie or phone 01 568 5989.
