Early June saw the launch of the much-anticipated Saturday lunch service at Clanbrassil House in Dublin 8. The clever new set menu features many of the most popular a la carte dishes at the cosy neighbourhood spot, with choices ranging from a beautiful starter of new season Asparagus, with Scotch Quail’s Egg and Wild Garlic, to delicious mains such as succulent dry-aged Chicken from Feighcullen Farm, served with Onion Tarte Tatin and Haricot Verts.
Priced at €35/€40 for two/three courses, the lunchtime offering has been described by the hospitable crew there as “a great way to enjoy our food and wine, but keep a few more quid in your pocket for Saturday evening drinks”.
Amen to that.
