Our Table are opening a café in the Project Arts Centre in Temple Bar that aims at creating “a nurturing and empathic space where people can gain skills, are paid a wage and can gain knowledge of the Irish food industry.”
Our Table is inspired by the lack of rights for those in the Direct Provision system to prepare their own food, which further strips them of their dignity in an already traumatic system. Their aim is to raise awareness of the issues and create employment through food with their cafe.
The planned opening date for the cafe is week beginning Monday 24th October.
