Micil is breaking new ground with their first-ever Galway-distilled Irish whiskey in over a century. They’ve released their Peated Single Malt which isn’t just a nod to the past—it’s a bold leap forward.
The Micil Peated Single Malt is the first legally distilled Irish whiskey from Galway in over 100 years. Bottled at a punchy 50% ABV and priced at €180, it’s a limited First Release with only 360 numbered bottles up for grabs.
This whiskey blends Galway City and Connemara traditions into a spicy, peated single malt. Micil’s small-batch process involves long distillation times and meticulous cuts made by taste, giving this whiskey a unique character.
It’s made with 100% Irish barley and malted with turf from the family’s land in Connemara, then aged in Pedro Ximénez, Amontillado, and Palo Cortado casks for extra sweetness and depth.
