We’re big fans of the work of Mack Signs, and even more in awe since founder Cormac Dillon’s moving tribute to Sinead O’Connor on Bray Head, in conjunction with Richard Seabrooke recently.
Having designed the sign for La Gordita in Montague Street, Mack Sign’s latest piece signposted news of the arrival of Mad Yolks to Rathmines.
This is the second shop opening for siblings Hugh and Eoin O’Reilly, who launched their independent food truck and breakfast delivery service back in 2018, before opening their first bricks and mortar premises in Smithfield.
As they continue their mission to bring the protein packed brekkie staple beyond the realm of morning eating, we find ourselves constantly vacillating between the Buff Yolk, a grass fed beef burger with fried egg, applewood cheddar, caramelised onions, dill pickles, rocket and dijonaise on toasted brioche, and the aptly titled Yolko Ono, featuring a delicious Sweet Potato and Chickpea Burger.
The brothers are set to crack open their new Rathmines offering later this month. Eggciting!
