Bombay native Bala Nayek has been pioneering fresh, authentic Indian dishes made using perfectly blended in-house spices since his arrival here over twenty years ago. Kari, his latest venture, opened in March, and is already firmly woven into the tapestry of great food on offer in Dublin 8.

Emulating the success of big sister Konkan, the delicious menu at Nayek’s latest venture with his wife Nidhi Joshi has been garnering rave reviews in Inchicore, where some of the most popular dishes include Kale and Samphire Pakoras with Tamarind, Date and Ginger Chutney, and their signature Chicken Kari, made with spiced fresh coconut sauce, curry leaves, mustard seeds, and coconut oil.

They’ve also been getting great feedback about their beautiful homemade Tandoor baked bread, with roasted wild Irish garlic and Methi Butter, accompanied by Tomato and Date Chutney.

For a deeper dive into the incredible range of flavours on offer here, check out the stunning lunchtime Thali, served Fri – Sun 12.30pm – 2.30pm.

Bookings via their website, kari.ie.
