Farrier & Draper welcomes a fresh epicurean blast of sunshine to South William St as Executive Chefs Philip Hughes and Ricardo Grande bring us on a journey south of the Mississippi and north of Cuba with their Summer Caribbean Creole menu.

We were chuffed to be sitting there on opening night – alongside the totally lovely Char staff writer @hannahlemass – tucking into a tasting menu of all that’s on offer while sipping Peach Bellinis. Some gals have all the luck!

The Po’ Boy Tacos (stuffed with juicy prawns and spicy slaw) and Jerk Chicken starters hit the sweet spot while the the Shrimp & Grits (gynormous grilled tiger prawns with spot on grits and sweetcorn bisque) and Grilled Fillet (melt in the mouth beef paired with piquant chimichurri, tomato mojo and sweet white potato (boniato) puree) were the stars of the main stage.

A chocolate tres leches cake sealed the deal and service was warm and friendly.

The menu is available daily from 12pm – 9pm and there’s a great Monday – Wednesday special offer of €60 for any two courses x 2 plus a bottle of wine.
