The crew at Volpe Nera have been ringing in the changes with a beautiful new menu celebrating all that’s best about the transition towards Spring dining. From Bites to Desserts, the February Lunch Menu at Barry Sun’s hospitable Blackrock hostelry offers plenty of choice, with starters ranging from Cep Dumplings with Aged Soya, Fennel and Herb Oil to Wild Sea Bass Crudo with Blood Orange and Radish.
The aforementioned Bites include Flaggy Shore Oysters, Homemade Bread with Mushroom Butter, and Salted Hake Croquettes with Preserved Lemon, followed by a very appetising selection of mains. Choose from Angou Squab Pigeon, Grilled Wild Halibut and Spelt Gnocchi, or an incredible sharing dish of Salt-Aged Delmonico Beef for two at a supplement of €15 per person.
There’s also a substantial selection of seasonal desserts and sides on the menu, and at €38 for three courses, we reckon that it represents pretty good value for those hard earned euros in these cash strapped times.
The February Lunch Menu is available on Fridays and Saturdays between 1pm and 3pm.
