This month sees fourteen of the country’s finest young chefs battling it out for a place in the final of the Eurotoques Young Chef of the Year competition.
The prestigious semi-final takes place on Sunday, June 23rd in the professional kitchens of Dublin Cookery School in Blackrock, where chefs will be turning up the heat as they bid to succeed 2023 winner Shauna Murphy of Terre Restaurant in Castlemartyr Resort.
This year’s cook-off sees a particularly strong showing from Dublin, with semi-finalists including exciting new culinary talents such as Aoife Comerford of Glover’s Alley (mentored by Conor Morrissey), Victor Erisay of Chapter One (mentored by Mickael Viljanen), and Joao Carlos De Oliveira de Lima of Michael’s (mentored by Chef Gaz Smith).
Also in the running is Tom Donohoe who was recently appointed Head Chef at Row Wines, under the mentorship of Dan Hannigan.
