One of Dublin’s best kept secrets, El Silencio FFF is home to some of the finest Mexican food and drink in the city.
Like many of the city’s mysteries, the buzzing speakeasy can be found hidden in plain sight, in this case, behind a secret door in Pablo Picante in Clarendon Market.
Once across the threshold, first impressions are of an arresting space, featuring a riot of emblematic arcana inspired by the street totems and cartels of Mexico.
Beyond the striking visual aesthetics, it is clear that the drinks on offer are radically different to the standard gin & tonics or vodka redbulls to be found at other bars throughout the city.
In fact, Margaritas are their pleasure, and it’s fair to say that El Silencio specialises in some of the finest Mexican Tequila and mezcal to be found this side of the Rio Bravo.
The Dublin speakeasy boasts an impressively stocked cantina, with an excellent selection of tasty tacos and tostados also cooked to order.
On Sundays and Mondays they host an ALT WKND, with great deals on Trust Tacos, classic Margaritas, sparkling Palomas and more.
Bookings can be made via DMs on Instagram.
