Doubling Down: Jameson Triple Triple Marsala Cask Edition

Posted 2 weeks ago in Food & Drink Features

While the Government mulls over the dubious prospect of getting rid of the Triple Lock, over at Jameson, they’re doubling down on it.

Their Triple Triple Marsala Cask edition brings a taste of Sicilian magic to an Irish classic, using casks sourced from the renowned Florio Winery in Sicily.

The hand-selected barrels are then seasoned with Marsala wine for two to three years, enabling the absorption of rich flavours including apricot, toffee apple, walnut and woodland spices.

The emptied casks are then transported to Midleton Distillery in Cork where they are married with Jameson’s triple-distilled whiskey, resulting in a rich and full whiskey featuring notes of toffee apple, vanilla, and chocolate dipped walnuts, accompanied by notes of exotic fruits with a subtle hint of ginger spice.

Bottled at 40% ABV, Jameson Triple Triple Marsala Cask Edition is available exclusively in global travel retail, with an RRP of €39.50. A sunny little pick me up for those travelling to foreign climes over Easter.
