Shout out to the teams in allta and Cloud Picker Coffee who have put together an incredible line-up of chefs for a very special fund-raising dinner for Ukraine this coming Tuesday 8th March.
Taking place in in allta Winter House, tickets to this very special fundraising event go on sale from midday on Thursday March 3rd, and cost €175 with tables limited to four and six people, with 100% of the proceeds going straight to the chosen charities.
On the evening of March 8th itself, guests will enjoy a series of dishes from some of Ireland’s best chefs including Jordan Bailey (Aimsir), Christine Walsh (Éan), Keelan Higgs (Variety Jones), Rob Krawczyk (Restaurant Chestnut), Kevin Burke (Library Street), Harry Quinn (Pichet), Charlotte and Shane (Scéal bakery) and Hugh Higgins and Niall Davidson (allta).
In addition, Glovebox will be open for walk-ins, with all their proceedings on the evening of the 8th also going to the charities. The event also features live entertainment from Toby Hatchett and guest mixologists from all over Ireland, including the team from Bar 1661.
Meanwhile, for those who can’t make the dinner next Tuesday, allta and Cloud Picker are also set to launch an online auction tomorrow (Friday), featuring a number of incredible prizes and experiences.
Auction items include dinner cooked for you in your own home for 6 guests by two Michelin starred Chef Mickael Viljanen of Chapter One, a summer party by allta for a group of 20 in your own home, and an overnight stay in Cliff House Hotel including dinner in their Michelin star restaurant and a sea kayaking trip, a spa break in the beautiful Ice House Hotel, a stay in The Westbury, a foraging masterclass with Cúan Greene and lots more.
The names of the highest bidders will be announced at the Chefs Unite for Ukraine dinner on the evening of 8th March, by the inimitable Donal Skehan, who is acting as MC for the evening.
The folk at allta and Cloud Picker tell us that they have been overwhelmed by the support they have received for this event from the Irish hospitality industry, from the chefs volunteering their time and talent, to the hotels and restaurants offering amazing experiences for the auction, and the producers sponsoring food and drink for the event.
Cloud Picker have already managed to raise €30,000 for UNICEF for Ukraine through their raffle which will continue over the coming days, with winners drawn by Donal Skehan at the Chefs Unite for Ukraine dinner on Tuesday.
Last weekend allta Winter House and Glovebox generously donated all their profits from Saturday to Razom for Ukraine. In all, they are hoping to raise €50,000 in total for Ukraine.
