Something to look forward to in these dismal times, allta BOX is a new weekly subscription & nationwide delivery service from chefs Niall Davidson, Hugh Higgins and Kevin Burke of Dublin’s restaurant and wine bar, allta.
Launched for the first time last month, it’s already proving a sensation, with first orders selling out in less than an hour.
The BOX features many popular bold flavours, including allta’s sensational handmade sourdough, house charcuterie and freshly prepared pasta, all designed for easy style cooking at home.
Costing €55 per week, a sample of the freshly prepared ingredients and weekly changing provisions menu in each subscription allta BOX might variously include such signature delights as Sourdough and shiitake miso butter, Ventricina and McNally’s farm pickles, Comeragh mountain lamb with seaweed pappardelle and Cáis ná Tíre and Broccoli sopressini, pumpkin seaweed miso and gremolata.
For afters, choices include Velvet Cloud sheep’s yoghurt mousse and Ryan’s rhubarb jelly and Pecan and oat cookie dough.
Each pasta arrives in 200g bundles with plenty of sauce and condiments to match, enough for two hungry people to share generously.
Working closely with new regulations means that only two chefs prepare each allta BOX. Social distancing measures in the work place are strictly observed, while staff are temperature checked at the start of each day.
Next orders go live at midday each Saturday. With free nationwide delivery, each allta Box is delivered by DPD to your door on either the following Thursday or Friday each week.
The allta BOX can be gifted to friends and family and can be cancelled at any time.
