“With the Saltwater team using techniques such as dry ageing and slow charcoal grilling to help make the produce really shine, it’s not surprising to see lovers of all things pescatarian falling hook line and sinker for their new Raw Bar Tasting Menu.”
Chef Niall Sabongi’s mission has always been about making delicious, healthy seafood as accessible as possible to the city’s diners, so when he opened the doors of his latest venture with Karl Whelan in Terenure last year, they kitted out the premises with a hot Rotisserie, a lovely selection of natural and organic wines and a Raw Bar showcasing the best of the day’s catch.
The latter is the inspiration behind their beautiful new Raw Bar Tasting Menu, which offers a fine selection of the freshest raw, cured and cooked seafood, aged fish and seasonal vegetables across twelve small dishes.

Currently only available to book on Fridays and Saturdays, the success of the menu so far means that plans are already in train to extend it to Thursday evenings too.
Priced at €65, the Raw Bar Tasting Menu can also be enjoyed with the option of wine pairing by Tara Deery available for €40, with two sittings per evening, one at 7pm and the other at 9pm.
And of course, because the popular Dublin 6W grocery is about ‘more than just fish’, the shop also stocks a decidedly tempting selection of charcuterie, condiments, cakes, cheese, wines and more.
