“The collection of starters, small plates (whatever we’re calling them right now) that hit the table are all winners and perfectly represent the mode and ambition of the kitchen.”
So opined our resident food critic Mr. Stevens following his visit to Note on Fenian Street just a few short months ago, and now it seems that the judges at the prestigious Michelin Guide agree.
They were impressed enough by the fare on offer at the Dublin 2 bistro to include Essa Fakhry’s pitch-perfect establishment amongst eighteen new listings in the Michelin Guide for May.
Their notes on, er, Note advise that, “the cooking is modern, yet unfussy and unpretentious, so don’t be surprised to find the likes of pork chops or date and toffee pudding on the menu. Bold, distinct flavours abound in dishes where the kitchen’s Irish influences often shine through.”
Duly Noted.
