Last month saw the return of Jackie’s, the 90’s inspired boozer formerly of Dublin 8 which can now be found in its brand new location on Aungier Street.
As we went to print they were still in the midst of a buzzy soft opening but, in time honoured fashion, expect the mood music to include beer, cocktails and nostalgia, peppered with tunes from the Spice Girls and The Happy Mondays.
On the food front, the bank holiday weekend sees the return of their Boozy Brunch featuring throwback bangers from the nineties and noughties, live music, nostalgic cocktails and decor.
All that and a cracking menu too – featuring delicious finger lickin’ good Korean Fried Chicken from Chimac.
Specials include three cocktails and one glass of Prosecco per person for €35pp with the option to add on a Chimac Korean Fried Chicken dish from €9.50.
The new menu is set to launch at 3pm on Saturday May 3rd and again on Bank Holiday Sunday May 4th at 3pm, and the good news is that it will be available every Saturday after that.
Those still twisting their melons about these things will be delighted to hear that the ghost of Toto Schillaci is still barred, while occasional outbreaks of Riverdance are also strictly de rigueur.
