One of our favourite winter rituals involves a pilgrimage to Poolbeg Street to imbibe a creamy pint or two at Mulligans, followed by a spot of supper at the convivial Gursha down the road.
The generous dinner at the bustling Ethiopian Supper Club is a great opportunity to try out a fine selection of East African dishes, followed by a delicious homemade Chocolate Fudge Brownie and the prospect of rounding off the evening with a traditional Ethiopian Coffee ceremony.
All dishes come served on a gluten free sourdough flatbread called Injera and our favourites from a crowded dinner menu include Doro Wat, a tasty Chicken Stew simmered in Berbere Sauce and Onions, served with boiled eggs and cottage cheese, and Ater Kik Alicha, a delicious veggie stew made with split peas.
Supper Club tickets cost €28.50 per person, and dinner is served from Thursday to Sunday between 5pm and 10pm. Gursha also opens for vegan lunches on Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons, with takeaway available.
