As new and established food outlets continue to champion the work of small artisans across the city, newcomer Glas Deli has been blazing a trail with a fine selection of artisanal produce, including their own delicious relishes and fermented goods.
The Deli’s innovative signature selection has been created by chefs at sister restaurant Glas, and features tasty store cupboard staples such as Kimchi, Sauerkraut, Piccalilli and Rillettes.
The delicious range has recently been augmented by a stunning new condiment series, including such nice additions as Wild Garlic Pesto, Smoked Olive Tapenade and an incredible Celeriac & Sea Lettuce Chutney that has to be tasted to be believed.
Each makes for a flavoursome accompaniment to picnics and salads, though we find they work equally well on toast, bread sticks, crudites or crackers.
The Deli also carries a lovely array of vegan and vegetarian dishes to enjoy at home, with Velvet Almonds from Cocoa Atelier adding a nice touch of decadence.
Meanwhile in Clarendon Street big sister Glas has been bringing a welcome touch of green to the city centre, enlivening their urban outdoor dining area with a border of wooden window boxes filled with fresh, verdant foliage.
