Brothers Marc and Conor Bereen have a longstanding association with men’s health charity Movember, and usually at this time of year their fundraising efforts for the charity would be in full swing. This year, with the Covid-19 Level 5 Lockdown firmly in place, the brothers have taken the bold decision to transform their popular Charlotte Quay restaurant into a stunning new pop up called Movemburger for the month of November.
The cool new pop up burger shack will operate throughout the month of November, serving up a delicious array of burgers for take away from the beautiful waterside location at Charlotte Quay. With four delicious burgers on offer featuring a choice of beef, chicken, falafel or cod, Movemburger’s flavoursome burger range ensures plenty of choice, certain to suit every palate.
In a nod to the moustachioed spirit of Movember, the name of each burger has been inspired by the various ways in which bros have chosen to wear their mo’s since time immemorial.
Movemburger’s tasty burger selection includes the hearty Horseshoe Burger, which comes packed with 8oz of Aged Irish Beef, Brioche, Caramelized Onions, Bacon, Cheddar, Garlic Aioli, Lettuce and Pickles, and The Fu Manchu, tender free-range chicken breast, Korean fried with Kimchi slaw wrapped in tasty Brioche.
Those who prefer their burgers plant-based are also well catered for with The Imperial Burger, gorgeous Chickpea Falafel, with Brioche, Labneh, Cheese, Lettuce, Pickles and Tomato, while a taste of the sea can also be enjoyed in the form of The Walrus Burger, a delicious combo featuring Beer Fried Cod, Brioche, Tartar Sauce and Mushy Peas.
As Mark Bereen, owner of Charlotte Quay explains, “Every November at Charlotte Quay, we would run our “H2MO” fundraiser in the restaurant. We unfortunately cannot do that this year, so instead we have decided to do our Mo pop up burger shack at Charlotte Quay. We will donate €1 to every burger sold to this amazing charity. 100% of funds raised go directly to the Movember Charity to benefit men’s physical & mental health.”
Burgers are priced at €12* each, with a special Mo Deal on offer throughout the month. Choose any burger plus 2 drinks for €20. *€1 from every burger sold will go to Movember.
