‘King Frankie’ is the debut feature film from Dermot Malone, with Peter Coonan (Love/Hate, Bad Sisters), and set for a theatrical release later this year.
The film, which had its world premiere at the Dublin International Film Festival to critical acclaim will be released in Irish and UK cinemas by Wildcard Distribution.
Described as a “Celtic Tiger tale you have not seen”, the story centers on Frankie (Coonan) a Dublin taxi driver, who, on the day of his father’s removal, comes face to face with things that happened a decade before.
