Indian Film Festival

This year Movies @ Dundrum will host the Indian Film Festival of Ireland 2012. An appearance from director Vijay Singh, actor Ila Arun and producer Lesley Udwin will open the festival. The festival is offering the best of Bollywood, covering a plethora of genres including comedy, drama, biography, documentary and independent. The films are not only Bollywood favourites but give the viewer a deeper insight into Indian filmmaking, culture and history. The festival will open with a showing of “Ajintha.” “It is based on a true love story, told never before, between Major Robert Gill and a tribal girl named Paro. Their Love was pure, beyond all languages, all barriers, all cultures. Ajintha is a musical, an adventure ride and a philosophy, all clubbed into one.”

Other Bollywood hits will be showing as part of the 4 day festival. Genres include comedy, drama, biographical, documentary and independent.
