Gaeilge Ghost – An Taibhse

Posted 7 days ago in Film Features

Garnering stunning reviews, the first-ever Irish language horror film, An Taibhse, is a chilling journey into the hardships of post-famine Ireland.

The film follows Éamon (Tom Kerrisk) and his daughter Máire (Livvy Hill) as they take on the task of maintaining a remote mansion, only to be confronted by horrors that push them to the edge of sanity. Directed by John Farrelly, the film authentically immerses viewers in a time when the Irish language was widely spoken.

It has received much critical acclaim, winning prestigious awards such as Best Emerging Talent (EIFF, Ireland) and Best Cinematography (FanFixion, Chile), with The Hollywood News hailing it as “one of the best horror films in recent years.”

A must-watch for horror fans and cinephiles alike.
