Ex Oh Promotions are set to shake up a sleepy January with The Next Big Thing festival, featuring three cracking nights packed with sets from Ireland’s best up-and-coming artists. The event takes place live over two stages at The Workman’s Club from Wednesday 22nd to Friday January 24th 2025.
Curated by musicians for musicians, The Next Big Thing proclaims itself a proudly DIY festival, based on a philosophy that puts independent artists at the centre of the industry, paying them fairly for their craft.
With 21 artists taking to the stage for three electrifying nights of music, the festival boasts an eclectic line-up ranging from from hip-hop to heavy rock, indie, and DJ sets. This year’s highlights include Annie and the Witness, yes chef!, Fortune Igiebor, and Teeejuh, with more to be revealed in the coming days.
The 2025 iteration also includes a mini vintage market beside the Cellar Stage, along with local market stalls selling bespoke art and jewellery, with sponsorship partner Oatier creating a bespoke cocktail specially for the festival.
Organisers Ex Oh have partnered with Safe Gigs Ireland to create an environment that is free of discrimination, and sexual violence for all attendees, where there is a zero-tolerance policy for abuse of artists, attendees or Workman’s staff.
The Next Big Thing festival, presented by Ex Oh takes place live at The Workman’s Club from Wednesday 22nd to Friday January 24th 2025. Tickets are available through Eventbrite with Festival Instagram Tickets from €10, available now. Physical ID required, this is an 18+ event.
