Zehr Gut: A free concert by Homebeat celebrating Goethe-Institut’s 60th anniversary
A collaboration between the Goethe-Institute and Homebeat sees renowned German pianist Lambert perform alongside Irish-born DJ and producer based in Berlin, Sara Miller, and Irish/Persian musicians, Navá.
Lambert is a pianist and composer from Hamburg. He has released four solo albums to date, has toured internationally, and renowned artists such as José Gonzales and Moderat have asked him for reworks of their tracks. He is known for always performing in a Sardinian mask.
Sara Miller is an Irish-born DJ, producer and qualified sound engineer, who is based in Berlin. She has hosted parties and special events in different locations in Berlin, and regularly appears in Berlin’s renowned Salon zur Wilden Renate. Her extended mixes and genre-bending DJ sets often span up to six hours at a time. Like many, 2020 saw her move from the club to the livestream. She has continued working on her music in the last year and her first release is slated for mid 2021.
Navá is a Dublin-based quartet exploring the musical cultures of Ireland and Persia. It is comprised of banjoist Paddy Kiernan, guitarist/bassist Niall Hughes, and Iranian born brothers Shahab and Shayan Coohe, on santoor, and tombak/tar/clarinet respectively. Their third album Toranj is due shortly.
